Weddings with a wild side

Sustainable Farm Weddings,
Inspired by Nature

Wild by Nature weddings are an informal, relaxed celebration, spent creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Large open spaces and intimate hideaways. Beautiful places to stay, gather and celebrate. Award winning food, produced on our farm and cooked over fire. Ancient woodlands, winding streams and Black Mountains air.

Weddings with us are as wild as they come.

Surrounded by natural beauty

Lower House Farm is our regenerative farm and venue in the Olchon Valley, Herefordshire. Set amongst seventy acres of unspoilt landscapes, ancient woodlands, narrow streams , wildflower meadows and even our own waterfall.

On the farm we have plenty of spaces inside and out for you to plan your day. At the heart of the farm stands our stone and oak-framed barn, a wonderful space that accommodates up to 100 for feasting and celebrating. Outside you’ll find our covered yard, large open meadows with a 600 year old oak tree (a favourite for ceremonies), communal patios and orchards. If you need some time for an intimate moment, escape into the wilderness for a while.

However you want to celebrate, the farm is yours, a beautiful blank canvas to plan your perfect day.

Settle into your own hidden valley

From the moment you and your guests arrive we want to help you make the most of your stay. We’ll help you plan your itinerary, finding opportunities to gather together at a table and reconnect with the outdoors as well as finding time to relax and make memories that will last a lifetime.

We recommend using Old Great Marlborough as a base for your stay. Our nearby farmhouse accommodation can comfortably sleep up to 22 of your nearest and dearest. Our cosy mountain pub, The Bull’s Head is just down the road from the farm. It's the ideal place to gather the evening before the main day or to unwind and reconnect with your guests for lunch the day after.

From planning every detail of your stay, finding the right suppliers and designing your spaces, we will be here when you need us, every step of the way, to help make your dream a reality.

Award-winning food, cooked over fire

At Wild by Nature, food is at the heart of everything we do. Natural meat and fresh seasonal produce from right here on our farm and the local area, cooked simply and served generously.

The Black Mountains are well-known for the quality of the produce, and we pride ourselves on working collaboratively with local bakers, brewers, cheese makers and growers to provide the very best the area has to offer, season by season. In 2019 we were honoured to be a BBC Food and Farming finalist and this year our pub was selected for the Michelin Guide.

From your main wedding banquet and pizzas from the wood-fired oven, to group dining at our pub and barbecue and breakfast boxes for your accommodation, we will make sure that you and your guests are well-fed from beginning to end with sustainable produce.

Farmhouse comfort & unrivalled views

A short drive away, Old Great Marlborough is our lovingly restored, self-catered farmhouse sleeping up to 22 of your nearest and dearest. This once forgotten, traditional Welsh farmhouse is immersed in both history and beauty, surrounded by wild meadows and with far-reaching rural views.

For the rest of your guests we have put together a local accommodation guide to make sure everyone has a place to stay nearby, and we work with a local transport company that can make sure everyone gets home at the end of the night.
