Front of House Supervisor

Bulls Head Pub, Craswall

The Position:

You will provide support to the Restaurant Manager in the daily operations of The Bull’s Head when needed, with occasional assistance across other Wild By Nature venues.

About the role 

We are looking for a motivated Front of House Supervisor, with experience in the industry, to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and top quality food and drink.

The role requires a warm, outgoing person who is comfortable working in a close knit team of like minded individuals. Consistently high levels of professional, friendly customer service is an integral part of the role and bar experience would be preferred, but not essential. We are looking for someone with initiative who can keep calm under pressure, whilst maintaining a positive attitude to help motivate those around you. Communication skills are essential, as is your ability to take on new information and stay on top of our ever changing menu will be vital.

You will work closely with our Restaurant Manager helping to support our small team of waiting staff. You will be a problem solver and comfortable working in a close-knit team of like-minded individuals.  Someone who is aspirational to achieve the very best.

Some of the key job responsibilities that our front of house supervisor will have are:

  • Welcome customers in a warm, positive and friendly manner.

  • Working fluidly between the restaurant and bar, depending on where you are required on the day.

  • Opening and closing the pub - cashing up, cleaning beer lines, unpacking deliveries, preparing food and drink menu.

  • Using and updating our booking system (Resdiary)

  • Helping with the ordering of front of house/bar supplies and other administrative duties when needed.

  • Using our POS system (Lightspeed).

  • In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, manage the teams and business accordingly.

Housekeeping Team Member

The Position:

This position will support the housekeeping team across all of our locations with a mixture of cleaning our pub, onsite cabins, wedding venue spaces and our large accommodation house sleeping 22. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a bit of variety in their job role and also willing to get stuck in. 

About the role 

The role we are offering is part time, minimum 6 hours per week but open to flexibility for the right person. We have a 7 day a week operation between our accommodation, pub and event barn so these hours will be spread across the week but usually falling on a Monday, Thursday and Saturday (depending on bookings) You will always have at least two weeks notice 

We are a business with very high-standards - both in cleanliness and customer service. We have a lovely housekeeping team, who go beyond keeping our venues and accommodation immaculate and ensure that guests arrive into a warm, friendly environment with everything presented to its best and guests’ needs at the heart of the service provided. Positivity, friendliness and good team-working skills are a must.

  • Wedding Venue with private hire options all year round 

  • Large private house sleeping up to 22 people with 10 bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, two games rooms, an outdoor wood fired hot tub, tennis court and bbq patio

  • Full house changeover cleans with a team of people

  • Cabin changeovers and mid stay cleans, where you will occasionally meet the guests and make sure they have everything they need. 

  • Wedding Venue barn cleaning

  • Welcome customers in a warm, positive and friendly manner.

  • Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained 

  • Work fluidly between all areas of The Bulls Head and Lower House Farm venues, depending on where you are required

  • Acknowledge guests when they are leaving. 

  • Exceed our guests’ expectations creating a memorable experience.

Sous Chef

Bulls Head Pub, Craswall

The Position:

To manage all aspects of the menu and food production for The Bulls Head Pub and support with preparation for events at: Old Great Marlborough and Lower House Farm.

The role is for a hands-on Sous chef who can motivate and inspire the team to deliver the very best food and guest experience within the pub and the wider Wild By Nature teams. Working with the best home-grown and the finest British produce. A problem solver, someone who is aspirational to achieve the very best.

Some of the key job responsibilities that our sous chef will have are:

  • Support the Head chef and teams in all aspects of the day to day running of the kitchen and to deliver the food menus

  • Design new dishes for menus, focusing on the best ingredients, sustainability provenance. Ensure all dishes have recipe/spec sheets and have been photographed to ensure presentation standards.

  • Create, communicate, and train the chefs on all menu changes.

  • Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained throughout and that service is maintained to a high standard

  • Manage your appointed section, ensuring the food and ingredients are at their best.

  • Ensure recipes are followed.

  • Complete opening and closing duties, including health and safety procedures, to ensure compliance and quality assurance of standards are maintained.

Kitchen Porter
